Make Your Own Art: Abstract Spots

The easiest art to make yourself doesn't involve any skill at all. In fact, lack of skill is encouraged. All you need is a blank canvas and some paint to drip, dribble and splatter. Get your inspiration here:

You will need a canvas, which is available pre-stretched in many sizes at art supply or craft stores. I used some black acrylic paint from my art supply stash, although you can use just about any other paint or ink you have on hand, including spray paint, sharpie or interior house paints. Regardless of the paint you use, you are sure to end up with a perfectly imperfect abstract piece.

  1. Now that's something I can do! I really like the one over the mantel.
